Sweet Autumn....

Sweet Autumn Clematis is blooming it's heart out right now.

It smells heavenly.

My mom and I dug this old bird house out of the ground, which was behind my studio before I had a studio.

Everything was there...the post plus 2 feet of cement.  It even had old chicken wire still attached for what might have been climbing on it back then.

I completely forgot about it.

We placed it where the tree fell in our yard a few years ago.

~After~
Instant age and gratification.

The vine was just a piddly little thing that seeded itself there.  You can see how small it was blooming on top of that old tree stump above.

Once that bird house went up, that vine took off.  It's very happy now.

and so are the bumble bees!!

Wishing you a lovely day.

  1. What a great find the birdhouse was. So prim and rustic. Love the flowering vine. It has completely hidden the tree stump. So pretty. Thanks for sharing

  3. Hi sweet Jenn! Your clematis is quite amazing! I love that you and your mom dug up that old birdhouse. It is so charming and looks perfect on the tree with all the wonderful clematis climbing up it! I love the sweet bumblebees! Our garden is full of them! They are the best pollinators and I love their humming and buzzing sounds! Your home is beautiful too!

    Love and hugs, Paula

  5. That looks really pretty in your yard! How neat that you found the birdhouse. I love to see the bumble bees. We saw very few this year and our garden sure missed them.

  6. Hi Jenn,

I love the sweet bird house, and with the clematis growing up the post. Also how lovely to see the bumble bees - over here I haven't really seen many around. You have a lovely house and garden.

    Have a happy week
