Miss You!

I hope you all had a happy 4th with friends and family and lots of good food. We've had family here for about a week now. I'm hiding in my daughters play garden behind the sweet peas right now typing this ~ thank goodness for wireless! It helps me concentrate hiding here with the flowers but I'm going to make this a quick one because I don't want to miss anything. I love having everyone here and feel sad that they live so far away and will be leaving soon.

We have a huge picnic every year for the 4th. Our home is sitting in the perfect spot to view fireworks from the local park. Dino always makes a comment at least once every year that this why we bought our house. I used to drag him all over the place to watch them....one year I had him pull over on an off ramp and we sat on the car! Don't get me wrong he likes fireworks but he hates the traffic that goes along with it. I'm glad he's happy now and I love my house =)

Lots of things have been happening here. June started with my birthday ~ the big four ohhhhhhhh! I don't know about the rest of you but in my mind I still feel like a twenty something. I'm just happy to be here! We had a nice party with friends and family. I finally got my crown molding...only took 15 years and a big birthday ~ hee hee!

The middle of the month we went to Lancaster County for a quick buying trip. I love shopping for antiques and could do that every day 24/7. New stuff will be added to the August update. We are going on vacation next week for 2 weeks so I won't be able to take orders until August. I've been working on some new fall primitives and those should be on that update also.

It was a sad day on June 18th when Tasha Tudor passed away. She was 92 and at home in Vermont. A delightful illustrator and childrens book author. Her gardens are what I imagine heaven to be. We should think about following in her footsteps...slow down and smell the roses, enjoy the simple little miracles that God blessed us with. Even though I never met her my heart is heavy knowing she is gone. http://www.tashatudorandfamily.com/

And that brings me back to family...which I should go find.

Have a happy sunny day! xoxoxo Jenn
