Working with my Mom

Hi, This is Lydia, Jenn's daughter.
Today I am working with my mom for "Take Your Child to Work Day".
We were going to make birds, but then I decided I wanted to make a tomato pincushion instead.
First my mom showed me how to make the pattern.
Then we traced the pattern on to the wool and cut it out.
This is me sewing the short ends together.
The rest was all hand sewn, which wasn't too bad.
"I came in like a wreaking ball!"

Then we got a little crazy and started singing .
I kept stabbing my tomato haha!  It was hard at first until it I got it squashed down more, but I got it done.  It somewhat looks like a tomato.

Tah-dah! I did it
I was forced to write this blog (not really), but thanks for hanging in there... ha-ha-ha!

...and now it is April

Almost the end of April.  Can you believe it?

Hello!

Spring is here, the daffodils are blooming.

I have been trying to multi-task and only work in my garden for a few hours in the morning.

Mornings are my favorite.

Especially warm, sunny mornings.

Cleaning up one little area at a time.  So much to do!

It's hard to stop.

But this is coming up in less than 3 weeks.

And I have a lot to do!

Everything is in stages, but here's a little peek at something I've been working on.

Have a great day, and stop back later this week for a blog update from Lydia.  It's "take your kid to work" day.  I think we will be making little birds!  You can see her other blog posts here, here, and here.  (She is growing up WAY too fast!)

Warm springtime wishes my friends.
