Favorite Things
I have a confession. I love white. There I've said it. I can here the gasps from my primitive friends. It's not just the shades of white but anything faded and timeworn. It's a personal thing. Nothing soothes me like the colors, textures and fragrances of nature does. I call it a farmhouse-cottage primitive style. I think its why I like making primitives so much. Each piece tells a story. It's the texture of old homespun or the smell of an old book. It's very personal. You can feel the history. There is a warmness and comfort to it.
What brings you personal comfort and inspiration?

I love reading your blogs Jenn!
Hello Jenn~I just love your new blog look! I too love whites...you are right..it's a clean and soothing look. I agree, the special pieces that we have around us are very personal and have great meaning; wheather it is the story of how we "found" that special treasure or the idea of where it traveled before us. Loved your post! Warm hugs~Kathy
I, too, love the story which accompanies each new "find". It seems as though the item calls my name as I walk by. A crack in a wood bowl, a chip on a china cup, the bubbles in old paint, a dog-eared page in a book. All very dear... yes, all very comforting.
May you be surrounded by wonderful stories this day Jenn!
Warmly,
~ j
